The Eastern Cape is a year-round destination with a climate blend of Mediterranean and subtropical weather.
The east experiences higher levels of humidity and rainfall compared to the west with its dry weather conditions. During the off-season (winter), temperatures range from 7°C to 22°C and during summer, you can enjoy temperatures between 16°C and 36°C.
The Eastern Cape is an excellent place for visitors to visit because the temperatures are seldom extreme – depending of course on which part of the region you visit. So come to the Eastern Cape and soak up the sunshine in this beautiful part of the country.

Summer: Lightweight clothing and swimming costumes, warm clothing for game drives.
Winter: Light clothing for daytime, warm clothing for evening and very warm insulated jackets for game drives.

Inkonkoni Lodge has a satellite installation in the Lapa which guests may use for internet connection. The lodge has relatively good reception and/or connectivity, however it is also dependent on your carrier.
Unfortunately, there is no WIFI in our chalets.
Game viewing is not affected by the weather, seasons or time of year. Animals are active 365 days a year. If there is something you are specifically looking to see, consult with one of our safari experts upon making your booking.
Additionally, it’s recommended that you bring warmer clothing along for the trip as it may get cold, regardless of the time of year.
All visitors to the farm are required to sign an Indemnity and Waiver of Rights Form.
Visitors are expected to pay a 50% deposit to confirm their booking.
- Visitors will receive 100% of their deposit if cancelled more than two weeks prior to the booking.
- Visitors will receive 50% of their deposit if cancelled less than two weeks prior to the booking.
- Visitors will not receive their deposit if cancelled one week or less prior to the booking.
- Outdoor Safari is a privilege and respect of nature and particularly the animals is required at all times by all who visit the farm. The Owners and Managers reserve the right to refuse admission of any persons who do not adhere to this requirement.
- It should be noted that the all animals should be regarded as being dangerous at all times and visitors are required to treat the animals with respect.
- No littering on the farm.
- No alcohol will be allowed on the outdoor safari and anyone under the influence of alcohol will immediately be removed from the activity and may be asked to leave the farm.
- Any damage to property will be charged to the person responsible.
- Any dead or wounded animal found on the farm should be reported as soon as possible.
- Invoices due for payment on presentation.
